The Cuttack Commissionerate Police has announced a detailed traffic and parking management plan for Bali Yatra 2025, which began today and will continue until November 12. The measures aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and visitor safety during one of Asia’s largest open-air trade fairs.

Traffic Restrictions and Diversions

Traffic regulations will be in effect daily from 2 PM until crowds disperse, with exemptions for emergency vehicles, including ambulances, fire tenders, and essential services.

  • Vehicles coming from Bhubaneswar via Nandankanan and Netaji Setu should turn left at Bellevue Chhak (Judicial Academy), pass through CDA-11, and park at Bhuasuni Ground or Krushak Bazaar Ground. Shuttle bus services will ferry visitors to the fair.

  • Two-wheelers from Athagarh and Banki via Naraj Bridge and Madhusudan Bridge can park at Bhuasuni Ground, Gora Kabar Ground, or Christian Ground before boarding shuttles.

  • Two-wheelers from Satichaura via Shelter and Kanika Chhak are directed to Daya Ashram Ground or Upper Bali Yatra Ground (Zone I & II).

Vehicles will not be allowed to proceed toward the fairground from Deer Park or Madhukunj Park Square, and entry will also be restricted from Chandi Chhak via Cambridge School for four-wheelers and auto-rickshaws. Vehicles from Chahata Square are directed to the designated parking zones.

Designated Parking Locations

The following parking areas have been allocated for visitors:

  • Krushak Bazar Field, Bidanasi

  • Bhuasuni Field, Chahata

  • Gora Kabar Field, Tulasipur (two and four-wheelers)

  • Christian Field, near Anand Bhawan, Tulasipur (two and four-wheelers)

  • Daya Ashram Field, Tulasipur

  • Silver City Boat Club (1–4) and DCP Office Field

  • Matamath Parking Field

  • Bose Engineering College Field

  • Hadia Patha Parking Field, Jobra

  • Upper Bali Yatra Ground Zones 1 and 2 (two-wheelers only)

Bali Yatra 2025 Highlights

Bali Yatra 2025 spans over 60 acres and features around 1,700 stalls from Odisha and other states. The event celebrates Odisha’s maritime trade history, crafts, and culture, including a special segment titled ‘Cuttack in Cuttack’, highlighting local art, literature, and heritage. The fairgrounds will also host installations by the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) and numerous small traders.

Authorities urge visitors to follow designated parking and traffic routes to ensure safety and a smooth experience while attending the festival.
