The Higher Education Department extended the deadline for submitting applications for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2026.
Students can now apply until March 22, 2026, up to 11:45 PM through the SAMS portal by filling out the Common Application Form (CAF).
The deadline was earlier set for March 18, 2026. Officials stated that the extension was made in the larger interest of students and their future prospects. CPET remains mandatory for admission into postgraduate courses for the academic session 2026–27, with selections based on marks secured in the entrance examination.
The department also announced plans to commence postgraduate courses across universities and colleges by July 10, 2026. This initiative aims to ensure the timely completion of the academic cycle, benefiting students across Odisha.
The extension provides relief to thousands of aspirants who were unable to complete their applications earlier. Authorities urged students to utilise the additional time and complete the process without delay.
