Cold Condition To Abate Further In Odisha, Night Temperature To Rise

Bhubaneswar: The cold condition in Odisha is likely to decrease further as the IMD predicted a rise in night temperature in most parts of the State.

The night temperature in most parts of the state witnessed a rise in the last 24 hours. “The night temperature is likely to rise by 2 degrees in most parts of the state in the next 24 hours and there would be no significant change in the next two days.

In last 24 hours, 10 places in Odisha recorded below 10 degrees C.

G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district was the coldest place in Odisha at 5.8 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said.

G Udayagiri was followed by Phulbani a7.0 degrees Celsius, Kirei 7.7, Semiliguda 8.0, Daringbadi 8.0, Keonjhar 8.8, Sundergarh 8.9, Nabarangpur 9.0, Angul 9.0 and Bhawanipatna 9.5 degrees C.

The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 14.8 and 14.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
