Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi unveiled two books celebrating Speaker Surama Padhy’s leadership in the Assembly — Two Years Legislative Journey of Speaker Surama Padhy and Two Years of Transformative Leadership Under Speaker Surama Padhy.
The release took place inside Committee Room No. 54 of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
The Chief Minister praised the Speaker’s role in strengthening democratic practices and highlighted her contributions over the past two years. The books document her initiatives, reforms, and leadership style that shaped Assembly proceedings.
Majhi also inaugurated a state-of-the-art physiotherapy centre within the Assembly premises. The centre aims to provide advanced healthcare facilities to members and staff, reflecting the government’s commitment to modern infrastructure in legislative institutions.
Speaker Surama Padhy, Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, senior legislators, and officials attended the event.
