Cinematographer Krishna KR, hailing from Perumbavoor, tragically passed away in Srinagar following a sudden cardiac arrest. She was 30 years old.
Krishna, who was admired for her skills and potential, was part of the crew shooting the third film in the Telugu Hit series, directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Malayalam director and cinematographer Sanu Varghese, who is the film’s Director of Photography (DoP), had enlisted Krishna as his associate.
According to On Manorama, Krishna fell ill during the ongoing shoot in Jammu and Kashmir after completing earlier schedules in Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh. Initially diagnosed with a chest infection, she was hospitalized at the Srinagar Government Medical College Hospital on December 23. After a few days of treatment, she showed signs of improvement and was able to communicate with her family. Her brother had travelled to Srinagar after hearing of her condition.
