The Odisha Legislative Assembly witnessed intense chaos and disruption following the presentation of a condolence motion for former MLA George Tirkey.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi introduced the condolence motion to honor Tirkey’s legacy, but the Assembly soon descended into chaos following the tribute.
Members of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) raised slogans and created a ruckus over the fertilizer issue, storming the Speaker’s podium and shouting slogans beneath Speaker Surama Padhy’s chair. The commotion forced the Speaker to adjourn the House until 4 PM in an attempt to restore order.
