Passengers flying in and out of India are facing significant disruptions, as multiple Air India and IndiGo flights were cancelled or suspended on Tuesday.
The cancellations follow intensified operational scrutiny after the tragic AI171 crash last week, which killed all 241 passengers on board.
At least seven international flights departing from major Indian hubs—Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad—have been affected due to technical concerns, fleet availability, and crew readiness. Among the cancelled services is the newly introduced AI159 from Ahmedabad to London, which replaced the retired AI171 designation.
Travellers have expressed frustration over last-minute cancellations and inadequate customer support. Many reported receiving abrupt notifications, limited alternatives, and long wait times at assistance desks.
