The Government of Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Department has officially placed Sanjib Kumar Mahapatra, OAS-A(JB), Block Development Officer (BDO) of Chandbali in Bhadrak district, under suspension with immediate effect.
According to an official order, disciplinary action was initiated, as disciplinary proceedings against the officer are contemplated. Consequently, his services have been withdrawn from the PR & DW Department.
The suspension order, issued by order of the Governor under the provisions of the OCS (CC&A) Rules, 1962, stipulates that Mahapatra’s headquarters during the suspension period will be at the Collectorate in Bhadrak. He is strictly prohibited from leaving the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the Collector of Bhadrak.
During this period, the suspended official will be entitled to a subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule 90 of the Odisha Service Code.
