Amid the ongoing West Asia crisis, the Government of India acted decisively to shield households from rising fuel costs. The reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel will immediately ease the burden on consumers and ensure stability in domestic markets.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the timely intervention. He emphasised that the measure demonstrates India’s preparedness and commitment to public welfare during global uncertainty. Majhi highlighted that adequate availability of fuel and essential commodities remains a priority, reinforcing the government’s focus on stability and resilience.
