The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released an official notice on May 24, 2026, addressing technical issues that occurred during the Class XII post-result process.
The board confirmed that incorrect fee deductions took place on May 21–22 while students were applying for scanned copies of their evaluated answer books.
CBSE stated that in some cases, excess payments were deducted, while in others, lesser amounts were charged. The board assured that all excess payments will be refunded directly to the same payment method used by candidates. For cases involving lesser payments, students will receive separate communication regarding the balance amount.
The notice, signed by Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, clarified that scanned copies of evaluated answer books will be provided automatically to all affected candidates. Students will not need to submit fresh requests for the same.
