The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the remaining Class 10 board examinations in the Middle East and introduced a detailed assessment scheme for students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The board said the decision followed a review of the situation in the region.

Exams held between February 17 and February 28 were completed as scheduled, covering six major subjects, including Mathematics, English, and Science, along with 16 language papers and 22 skill-based subjects.

Assessment Scheme

  • Students who appeared in all exams: Results will reflect actual performance.
  • Students who appeared in four exams: Marks for the remaining subjects will be based on the average of the best three subjects.
  • Students who appeared in three exams: Results will be based on the average of the best two subjects.
  • Students who appeared in two exams: Marks for the remaining subjects will be calculated using the average of the two subjects.

Special Categories

  • Private/compartment candidates: Results will be based on attempted exams.
  • Students from 2025 or earlier batches: If exams were attempted, results will be declared accordingly; if missed, students can appear in the second board exams.
  • Students who shifted exam centres abroad: Results will be based on the exams they appeared for.

CBSE confirmed that internal assessment marks submitted by schools will be included. Results for Middle East students will be declared along with those in India. Students can improve scores through the second board examinations as per the CBSE policy. No special exams will be conducted outside this framework, and results prepared under this scheme will be final.
