Khurda: Police seized 262 grams of brown sugar from Gurujanga Mahotsav ground in Khurda district and arrested six persons including a woman in this connection.
Based on intelligence, the team of cops from the Town police station conducted a raid in that area and seized the contraband worth Rs 26 lakhs.
According to the SP of Khurda, the racket was being operated inside the Khurda Sub jail. Six mobile phones have been seized from the smugglers. Investigation is underway and detailed reports are awaited.
