New Delhi: Black Day today, India solemnly commemorates the fifth anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, a tragic event that shook the nation to its core.
Five years ago, on February 14, 2019, India witnessed a horrific attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. A suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden SUV into a convoy of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, claiming the lives of 40 brave jawans.
The convoy, carrying over 2,500 jawans, was returning from leave or heading to deployment areas when the attack occurred. This dark day left the nation scarred, igniting outrage and a deep sense of loss.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to CRPF jawans who were martyred in the Pulwama attack five years ago.
Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, “I pay homage to the brave heroes who were martyred in Pulwama. Their service and sacrifice for our nation will always be remembered.”
