The BJD Minority Cell has flagged alleged irregularities in the ongoing voter list revision process and formally lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
Party representatives claimed that discrepancies in the revision exercise could potentially disenfranchise eligible voters, particularly from minority communities. They urged the CEO to ensure transparency and fairness in the process, stressing that voter inclusion is a cornerstone of democratic participation.
The delegation highlighted concerns over alleged errors in the updated rolls and demanded corrective measures to safeguard the rights of all citizens. The Minority Cell emphasised that any lapses in the revision could undermine public trust in the electoral system.
