Lahore: Pakistan captain Babar Azam is one of the current era’s most recognized cricketers. With his incredible batting and captaincy, he has established a following base similar to that of former players all over Pakistan. He is ranked fourth in T20 batting. He was number one a few months ago, but he has since lost that position owing to bad form.
Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, fell victim to a honey trap when he was caught sexting with the girlfriend of another Pakistani cricketer.
The incident came to the limelight after many of his personal photos and audio recordings were leaked online. While the cricketer has been receiving harsh criticism over the scandal, his fans have been very supportive of him. They, however, asserted that the photographs and recordings were altered and that these actions were taken solely to damage the cricketer from Pakistan’s reputation.
It is important to note that Azam was previously involved in a similar situation. Hamiza Mukhtar, a young woman, had accused him of sexual assault, harassment, blackmail, and other offenses. Mukhtar later removed all of the charges, though. Babar is currently one of the biggest names in cricket, and this is a very serious accusation, thus it is quite probable that the video will be thoroughly probed despite questions around its veracity because Azam cannot be heard speaking.
In a video that has gone viral, Babar is seen se*ting with another Pakistani cricketer’s girlfriend. This is also not the first time that a leading captain was caught in such an incident. Former Australian Test skipper Tim Paine also got into a similar situation prior to the Ashes in 2021–2022. He was later removed from the position, and he has not been selected by Cricket Australia for any international game.

Nobody has yet to vouch for the legitimacy of these recordings and pictures, but things have just become worse because the person in the footage bears an uncanny similarity to Pakistan’s captain. As a result, there’s a divide on social media and the matter has taken a serious turn. Some of his supporters are speaking up for him, while others are delving into his personality.
Things are now in the hands of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as we shall wait to see how it handles the matter.
