The body of ASI Renuprasad Pradhan from the Tentilikhunti police station in Nabarangpur district, was found hanging on Thursday.
He had been reported missing since Monday. His absence from the police station and unresponsiveness to phone calls prompted his colleagues to search for him.
Renuprasad’s family, who lived away from him, also struggled to get in touch. It wasn’t until this afternoon that the police received a report about a body suspended from a tree at a tourist location. The IIC the Tentilikhunti police station quickly arrived at the scene and was horrified to find his colleague in such a tragic state.
After the necessary procedures were carried out, the police handed over Renuprasad’s body to his wife and two sons. Authorities noted that he was set to retire in two years.
