Authorities in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district have detained 175 suspects following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

In collaboration with the Army and CRPF, police have launched extensive search operations, conducted raids across the district, and heightened security measures to dismantle terrorist support networks.

The intensified operations include cordon-and-search activities and patrols in high-density forest areas. Additional mobile vehicle checkpoints have been established to monitor movement and ensure public safety. The police have appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activities, emphasising that public cooperation is crucial for maintaining peace and thwarting further disruptions.

As efforts to secure the district continue, Anantnag Police and partner security forces remain committed to restoring normalcy and combating terrorism.
