Anjana Mishra Gangrape Case: CBI Seeks Permission For TI Parade Of Biban Biswal

Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Kolkata on Tuesday moved the Special CJM Court, Khurda, seeking permission to conduct the Test Identification (TI) parade of of Biban Biswal, the key accused in the sensational 1999 Anjana Mishra gang rape case.

The CBI has also sought permission to take accused Biban Biswal on remand.

It is worth mentioning, Biban was arrested from Aamby Valley in Lonavala near Mumbai on February 22.

The woman, accompanied by a journalist friend and her driver, was returning to Bhubaneswar from Cuttack in a car when the three men, who were on a scooter, waylaid her in Baranga, drove the car to an isolated stretch and raped her.

While Sahu and Mohanty were arrested in the days following the incident, Biswal had been on the run.
