Carlos Alcaraz marked a historic milestone on Saturday at the prestigious Queen’s Club, notching his 250th career tour-level win in a dominant 6-4, 6-4 victory over fellow Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut.
The 21-year-old sensation not only booked a place in the Queen’s Club final but further asserted his growing legacy by joining tennis greats John McEnroe and Rafael Nadal as the third-fastest man in the Open Era to reach 250 wins.
Alcaraz showcased his signature flair and shotmaking throughout the semi-final clash, thrilling the London crowd with a dazzling drop volley to seal the opening set. Despite Bautista Agut’s veteran grit, it was Alcaraz who dictated the tempo and saved the only break point he faced, according to Infosys ATP Stats.
“I love playing tennis and putting on a show,” Alcaraz said post-match. “Every time I smile on court, I bring out my best tennis.”
Since his surprising early exit at the Miami Open, Alcaraz has bounced back with ferocity, amassing a 26-1 record and reaching five straight finals. He currently leads the ATP Tour in 2025 with 42 match wins and four titles.
Awaiting him in the final is Czech talent Jiri Lehecka, who stunned second seed Jack Draper in three sets. The two finalists are evenly matched head-to-head, with Lehecka having edged Alcaraz in Doha earlier this year.
Beyond the Queen’s Club, the stakes remain high: Alcaraz is now 2,070 points ahead of Jannik Sinner in the ATP Live Race to Turin, firming up his pursuit of a second consecutive year-end No. 1 ranking.
As the Queen’s Club crowd readies for a blockbuster final, all eyes are on the young Spaniard—still smiling, still winning.
