Bhubaneswar: Film producer Akshay Parija who deposed before the Enforcement Directorate again for questioning in connection with Archana Nag case, came down heavily on a section of media for airing and publishing fabricated news on him
The producer warned them of legal action if they don’t refrain from doing such irresponsible news.
“I am a victim. A section of media is spreading fake news on me. I may drag them to court in future,” Parija told news men before entering ED office.
Parija’s lawyer said “ED is questioning us. It is not an interrogation. Any information the ED seeks from us will be provided”.
Earlier in the day, Sraddhanjali Behera, a close aide of Archana Nag, also deposed before the ED for questioning.
Parija had lodged complaint with Nayapalli police against Sraddhanjali and Archana for blackmailing him.
The ED may quiz both of them simultaneously today regarding the financial transaction among them
Parija who blew the lid off the extortion case, was grilled for around three hours on Tuesday.
The producer had last week skipped appearance before the agency, citing health issues.
The ED is looking into a money laundering aspect of the case involving Archana Nag, a 26-year-old woman arrested on charges of blackmailing rich and influential people by threatening to make public photos and videos of their intimate moments.
Her husband Jagabandhu Chand has also been arrested.
