India’s Aditi Ashok won the women’s individual golf silver medal at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China on Sunday.
Aditi Ashok’s podium finish was India’s first medal in women’s golf at the Asian Games.
In the women’s individual section, Aditi Ashok, who agonisingly missed out on a podium spot at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics two years back, carded 17-under 271 (67-66-61-77) after the four rounds to secure her medal at the West Lake International Golf Course.
The gold medal went to Thailand’s Arpichaya Yubol, who notched up 19-under 269 (67-65-69-68). The Republic of Korea’s Hyunjo Yoo won the bronze with 16-under 272 (68-73-66-65).
