A young security guard was killed in a motorcycle accident near Bishoiput Chhak under the Jayapur Sadar police limits in Koraput on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Balaram Parja of Dhepaguda village, who worked as a security guard at the Jeypore hospital. The mishap occurred when Balaram was riding his motorcycle toward Jayapur and his vehicle collided head-on with another two-wheeler near Bishoiput Chhak, throwing him off the bike.
Residents rushed Balaram and another injured individual to the District Headquarters Hospital in Jayapur, where attending doctors declared Balaram dead upon arrival.
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and registered a case following a complaint filed by the victim’s father. Police have launched an investigation.
