The first glimpse of Pa Ranjith’s Vettuvam has caught the attention of Nagarjuna, who praised both the film’s world-building and daughter-in-law Sobhita Dhulipala’s hard work.
Titled World of Vettuvam, the four-minute glimpse was released on Friday and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the ambitious Tamil sci-fi action drama. The film stars VR Dinesh, Arya and Sobhita in key roles.
Nagarjuna Praises Sobhita’s Hard Work
Sobhita plays Radhi in Vettuvam. The glimpse shows her participating in group sessions with the cast, preparing for action sequences and learning traditional martial arts movements.
Impressed by what he saw, Nagarjuna took to X to praise the film and Sobhita’s preparation.
“Wow I love the world building!! looks like you put in a lot of work Sobhita … Looks too good 😊💐 Waiting for this one!!” he wrote.
The actor’s reaction comes as Sobhita takes on an action-oriented role in a film that combines elaborate production design with traditional martial arts.
What Is Vettuvam About?
Vettuvam is described as a sci-fi action drama spanning three time periods, with power and authority at the centre of its story.
The glimpse introduces Indra Vizha, an art form and competition in which participants compete for a position of leadership. The actors are shown studying the movements and undergoing martial arts training as part of their preparation.
The film’s world-building is a major focus of the glimpse, which also features behind-the-scenes footage from the production.
Vettuvam Cast And Crew
Alongside VR Dinesh, Arya and Sobhita Dhulipala, the film features Alaiyarasan, Mime Gopi, Guru Somasundaram, Shabeer Kallarakkal, John Vijay, Sai Dheena, Anand Saami, Harish Uthaman and Lizzy.
GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music, while Roopesh Shaji is the cinematographer. The action choreography is by Dhilip Subbarayan, with editing by Selva R K.
Nagarjuna And Sobhita’s Family Connection
Sobhita married Nagarjuna’s son, actor Naga Chaitanya, in December 2024 in an intimate ceremony in Hyderabad.
Nagarjuna has previously spoken about his relationship with Sobhita and how he indirectly played cupid in Chaitanya and Sobhita’s relationship. He later welcomed Sobhita into the family and shared photographs from their wedding celebrations.
With Vettuvam, Sobhita now takes on another demanding performance that involves extensive physical preparation and action training.
