The monthly spiritual magazine Satyachetana has officially invited nominations and applications for the second edition of the Satyachetana Spiritual Literature Award.
Instituted last year in cherished memory of the magazine’s founder-editor, Dr Jyotsnarani Mishra, the prestigious honour carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000, along with a citation and an honorary shawl (uttariya).
Award Guidelines and Submission Process
The award will be conferred based on spiritual literature books published between 2024 and 2025, as well as an author’s overall contribution to spiritual literature. A high-level selection committee has been formed under the guidance of Swami Shri Atmananda, founder of Satyachetana.

Eligibility: Authors, their well-wishers, or publishers can apply.

Requirements: Applicants must submit detailed information along with two copies of the published book.

Presentation: The award will be formally presented during the silver jubilee celebrations of Satyachetana scheduled for November.
Revamping ‘Jyotsnalok’ for Young Writers
In a parallel development, Satyachetana, Odisha, has announced a major editorial revamp for its quarterly literary magazine, Jyotsnalok. The publication will now transition into a vibrant platform centring on the pulse of the youth, focusing primarily on short stories and essays.

For Youth: Emerging fiction writers and essayists aged 35 years and below are encouraged to submit their short stories and essays.

For Senior Scholars: Essays penned by seasoned scholars and essayists above 35 years of age will also be considered for publication.
