Tension erupted at a private hospital in Kataka’s Jagatpur on Tuesday following the death of a patient under controversial circumstances.
The deceased was identified as Bijay Panda of Bhuvanpur, Jagatpur.
Panda was admitted to the hospital on Monday after having severe chest pain. However, he passed away during treatment, triggering severe outrage.
Angry family members and locals protested inside the hospital, accusing the management of serious medical negligence. They alleged that no qualified doctor was present and that hospital staff handled the treatment.
An investigation is underway.
