Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling has announced that the government is planning to introduce five to six bills during the short‑term Monsoon Session of the Assembly, scheduled to begin on September 22.
He stated that the Business Advisory Committee will meet to finalise the course of action, while an all‑party meeting is slated for September 21, with both the Chief Minister and the Leader of the Opposition expected to attend.
“The ruling party is always prepared for any issue that arises. The opposition, too, should be prepared to engage in debate with us on the floor of the House,” Mahaling said, underlining the government’s readiness for legislative discussions.
The Monsoon Session is expected to witness deliberations on key bills and pressing issues, with political parties gearing up for intense debate.
