12 Injured in Nuapada School Van–Ertiga Collision, Girl Critical

A serious road accident occurred in Nuapada town on Saturday, leaving 12 people injured after a collision between a school van and an Ertiga car.


According to reports, six students of St. Mary’s School travelling in the van and six passengers in the Ertiga sustained injuries. Panic gripped the area immediately after the crash, with locals rushing to assist in rescue operations. The injured were quickly shifted to the Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors began treatment.

Among the injured, 11-year-old student Megha Sahu was reported to be in critical condition. She was later referred to Raipur for advanced medical care, sparking concern among her family members.

Other injured persons are receiving treatment at Nuapada hospital. Parents of the injured students rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news, while the accident has triggered widespread discussion in the locality.
