A high-level meeting was convened at the Police Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, to review the state’s law and order situation and strategies for crime control.
During the meeting, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, along with the Home Department Secretary, senior police officials, and administrative officers, were present. Security was tightened at the Police Bhavan premises in Bhubaneswar, where a Guard of Honour was presented. On the Chief Minister’s arrival, the police force formally extended their salute and respect.
Discussions focused on the current law and order scenario, crime prevention strategies, conditions in sensitive regions, and the efficiency of police administration. The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of maintaining peace and security, taking strict action against criminals, and ensuring quality policing services for citizens.
Majhi reiterated his stance that law and order is the foundation of Odisha’s development, urging police officials to remain vigilant and proactive.
