Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi grabbed social media attention after delivering a witty response to a light-hearted question during his recent Instagram “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session aimed at connecting with Gen Z audiences.

The online interaction, held on Thursday, covered a wide range of topics, including student protests, education reforms, politics, philosophy, and women’s rights. However, one unexpected question quickly became the highlight of the session.

When a user asked, “Are you Batman?”, Rahul Gandhi responded with a humorous remark that instantly went viral.

“Let’s just say that no one has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together,” he replied, playfully embracing a long-running social media meme that compares him to the fictional superhero.

The response sparked widespread reactions online, with many users praising Gandhi’s sense of humour and his ability to engage with younger audiences through internet culture and memes. The Congress leader further fueled the conversation by sharing a video of himself standing in the rain, accompanied by the iconic theme music from The Dark Knight, adding another nod to the Batman reference.

Rahul Gandhi Reaches Out to Gen Z

Announcing the AMA session on social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi invited young people to participate in an open conversation.

“Students, Gen-Z — I’m here to listen. Ask me anything on Instagram, and I’ll answer as many questions as I can,” he wrote.

The initiative reflects a growing trend among political leaders using digital platforms to directly engage with younger voters and discuss issues affecting them.

Speaks on Student Protests and Education Crisis

Beyond the viral Batman moment, Rahul Gandhi addressed ongoing student protests in Jharkhand and raised concerns about the state of education in the country.

He argued that student demonstrations reflect deeper frustrations with the education system.

“The student protests that are happening in the country are against the education system. Our education system has collapsed, it is unaffordable and oppressive,” Gandhi said during the interaction.

He urged governments at both the state and central levels to listen to students and work toward meaningful reforms.

The remarks come amid continuing protests in Jharkhand over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations, with several demonstrators reportedly participating in hunger strikes.

Message on Women’s Rights

Rahul Gandhi also shared his views on women’s empowerment after being asked about young women fighting for their right to education.

“India’s women are our strength and our biggest asset,” he said, stressing the need for equal opportunities across education, employment, and public life.

He added that women deserve equal representation and respect in every sphere of society.

Favourite BJP Politician? Rahul Gandhi Names Amarinder Singh

During the session, Gandhi was asked to name his favourite politician from the BJP. In response, he mentioned former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

“I get along with him. He is cool. He is an expert on military history. Hello, Uncle Amarinder,” Gandhi said.

Social Media Moment Turns Political Outreach Success

While the session addressed serious topics such as education reforms, youth concerns, and gender equality, it was Gandhi’s Batman joke that emerged as the biggest talking point online.

The viral response showcased a lighter side of the Congress leader and highlighted how political figures are increasingly using social media platforms to connect with younger audiences in relatable and engaging ways.

With memes, humour, and direct conversations becoming key tools in digital outreach, Rahul Gandhi’s Gen Z AMA session appears to have struck a chord with many young users across social media.
