A breathtaking photograph of the full Moon captured from the International Space Station (ISS) by NASA astronaut Anil has left social media users in awe.
The image shows the Moon glowing against the darkness of space, with Earth’s curved horizon visible in the frame.
The astronaut’s post referenced NASA’s Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the Moon and establish a long‑term presence as a stepping stone for future missions to Mars. “Full moon today. The @iss feels so close. And that’s why it’s a step toward @nasaartemis, @nasamoonbase, and our future,” Anil wrote.
The photograph, praised for its mesmerising perspective, offered the public a rare glimpse of Earth and Moon together from orbit. Many described the view as surreal, beautiful, and intimidating, emphasising the extraordinary experience of witnessing space from an astronaut’s vantage point.
