Serious allegations of a question paper leak have rocked the postgraduate (PG) examinations at MKCG Medical College and Hospital, raising concerns over exam integrity and accountability.

According to sources, the exams conducted under the Odisha University of Health Sciences reportedly witnessed irregularities after claims that question papers were leaked and circulated among students via WhatsApp groups shortly before the test. Photographs of the paper and even written answers were allegedly shared, giving some candidates an unfair advantage.

Suspicion has fallen on a medical student and a senior staff member, with reports suggesting that papers were even sold for large sums and reached a private medical college in Bhubaneswar.

The irregularities are said to have occurred during the July 27 PG exam covering over 20 subjects. Following complaints, the matter was reported to the university, which has dispatched a team to MKCG for a preliminary inquiry.

Dean Dr Harikrushna Dalai confirmed an internal investigation is underway to determine how the paper was photographed and circulated, assuring strict action against those found guilty. Officials added that two more exams are pending, with stricter monitoring measures to prevent further malpractice.
