On the concluding day of her State visit to Romania, President of India Droupadi Murmu addressed members of the Indian community and “Friends of India” at a reception hosted by the Ambassador of India.
The President praised the diaspora’s achievements and their deep connection to India, saying their contributions to Romania’s economy and society make them “true representatives of India.” She noted that Indian professionals in IT, healthcare, research, and education are creating new opportunities for cooperation between the two nations.
“The strongest pillar of India–Romania relations is the close bond between our peoples,” President Murmu said, urging the community to remain active partners in India’s developmental journey and vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
She also appreciated Romanian “Friends of India” for their love of Indian art, culture, and spirituality, describing them as an important bridge strengthening bilateral friendship.
The event was attended by Minister of State Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, MPs Dr Dinesh Sharma and Shri Vijay Baghel, and senior officials.
