The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has temporarily closed 17 Metro stations across the national capital from 7:30 am on Friday until further notice due to security concerns.
The move comes amid heightened security arrangements in parts of Delhi.
List of Closed Metro Stations
The following Metro stations have been shut for passenger entry and exit:
- Lok Kalyan Marg
- Rajiv Chowk
- Patel Chowk
- Ramakrishna Ashram Marg
- Barakhambha Road
- Supreme Court
- Seva Teerth
- Janpath
- Jhandewalan
- Mandi House
- Central Secretariat
- ITO
- Delhi Gate
- Indraprastha
- Khan Market
- Jor Bagh
- Shivaji Stadium
Interchange Facilities Remain Available
The DMRC clarified that while these stations are closed for normal passenger movement, interchange facilities will continue to operate at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.
Passengers travelling through the Delhi Metro have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow official updates issued by the DMRC.
The Metro operator has not specified when the stations will reopen, stating that the closures will remain in effect until further notice.
Authorities have urged commuters to cooperate with security personnel and expect possible travel disruptions in the affected areas.
