Odisha Agriculture Department Signs MoUs with Four Corporations for 2026-27

The Odisha Agriculture Department signed MoUs with four state corporations for the financial year 2026-27.

The Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment inked agreements with OAIC, APICOL, OSSC, and OSCDCL. Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo presided over the event. He urged all corporations to coordinate closely with the department and accelerate agriculture development.
Commissioner-cum-Secretary Shri Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav and Managing Directors of the corporations signed the documents. The Deputy Chief Minister reviewed past achievements and set future targets during the meeting.
Under the Odisha agriculture MoU, OAIC targets to procure 54,000 tonnes of fertilisers, 8,400 tractors, and 1,200 power tillers. The corporation also plans to install 6,240 electric lift irrigation points and 1,200 shallow tubewells under the Jalanidhi scheme. It aims to sell horticulture materials worth ₹24 crore and achieve a total turnover of Rs 1,200 crore.
The Deputy Chief Minister asked OAIC to adopt advanced technology widely.APICOL targets to establish 1,659 commercial enterprises with Rs 330 crore Capital Investment Subsidy. It has allocated Rs 300 crore for Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana and Rs 30 crore for cold storage assistance.OSCDCL will implement hybrid cashew replantation over 500 hectares and maintain 761.22 hectares of existing plantations. The Deputy Chief Minister directed the corporation to strengthen branding and marketing efforts.
OSSC will focus on producing and supplying high-yielding, climate-resilient seeds. The corporation will organise joint training programmes for officials and seed farmers. The Deputy Chief Minister specifically instructed OSSC to promote short-duration crops.
These Odisha agriculture MoUs aim to boost farmer income and modernise the sector through coordinated efforts.
