In a decisive push for development across education, infrastructure, water management, and technology, the Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved 12 important proposals from eight departments during its 42nd meeting.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired the high-level meeting at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhavan. The Cabinet gave its nod to proposals that promise to strengthen schools, boost fisheries and animal husbandry, upgrade digital infrastructure, improve food security, accelerate works projects, manage water resources better, and enhance disaster preparedness.

After the meeting, Chief Minister Majhi personally briefed the media on the key proposal cleared from the School and Mass Education Department. Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg shared details of the remaining 11 approved proposals.

Department-wise approvals:

  • Higher Education Department – 1 proposal
  • Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department – 2 proposals
  • Electronics and Information Technology Department – 1 proposal
  • Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department – 1 proposal
  • Works Department – 2 proposals
  • Water Resources Department – 3 proposals
  • School and Mass Education Department – 1 proposal
  • Revenue and Disaster Management Department – 1 proposal

This round of approvals reflects the state government’s continued focus on improving public services and infrastructure. The School and Mass Education proposal, highlighted by the Chief Minister himself, is expected to directly benefit students and the education ecosystem across Odisha.

The 42nd Cabinet meeting once again demonstrated the government’s commitment to timely decision-making and welfare-oriented governance.
