Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) CEO Rajesh Menon has eased concerns over Virat Kohli’s future, expressing confidence that the franchise icon will continue playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for at least the next three to four years.

The statement comes amid growing discussions about Kohli’s long-term future in cricket. However, Menon believes the former India captain still has plenty left to offer, citing his fitness, consistency, and unmatched passion for the game.

Kohli and RCB: A Partnership Like No Other

Virat Kohli remains one of the most loyal players in IPL history. Since the tournament began in 2008, he has represented only Royal Challengers Bengaluru, becoming the face of the franchise and one of the league’s greatest performers.

RCB finally achieved a historic breakthrough in 2025 by winning their maiden IPL title. The Bengaluru-based franchise followed it up with another championship in 2026, joining an elite group of teams to win back-to-back IPL trophies.

Speaking about Kohli’s association with the franchise, Menon described the relationship as inseparable.

“RCB and Virat are different sides of the same coin. He has been a constant presence throughout our journey, and we see him remaining closely associated with the franchise even beyond his playing career,” Menon said.

RCB CEO Predicts Longer IPL Career

Menon also expressed confidence that Kohli’s IPL career is far from over.

According to him, the star batter’s exceptional fitness levels, competitive spirit, and hunger for success indicate that he can continue performing at the highest level for several more seasons.

He pointed to Kohli’s performances during IPL 2026 as evidence that age has not diminished his impact on the field.

Stellar IPL 2026 Campaign

Kohli once again emerged as RCB’s leading run-scorer in IPL 2026. The veteran batter accumulated 675 runs and recorded a strike rate of 165.84, the highest of his IPL career.

His contribution proved crucial in RCB’s successful title defence. In the tournament final, Kohli delivered one of his most memorable innings, scoring an unbeaten 75 to guide Bengaluru to another championship.

No Signs of Slowing Down

With the next IPL season marking the final year of the current cycle, Kohli remains a central figure in RCB’s plans. His consistent performances, leadership qualities, and strong connection with supporters continue to make him one of the most influential players in the league.

For RCB fans, Menon’s remarks offer reassurance that the franchise legend is likely to remain in red and gold for several more years, extending one of the most enduring partnerships in cricket history.
