Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan on Tuesday to review security and administrative arrangements for the upcoming visit of President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha.

The two-day visit on June 19 and 20 will mark the Odisha Government’s second anniversary and the Central Government’s 12th year in office.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure flawless coordination among departments and maintain strict security during the high-profile events. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, DGP Y.B. Khurania, Development Commissioner D.K. Singh, and senior officials from the Home, Information, and Public Relations departments.

President Murmu will arrive in Mayurbhanj district on June 19 for a two-day visit. On June 20, her birthday, she will attend celebrations in Rairangpur, her birthplace and first workplace. The Chief Minister described the occasion as a moment of pride for all Odias.

Prime Minister Modi will join the President in Rairangpur on June 20 for a state-level mega event, where both leaders will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several major projects worth thousands of crores. These include a railway project and the mega coal gasification project, along with multiple health infrastructure initiatives.

The Chief Minister said the joint visit symbolises the strength of the double-engine government and will accelerate Odisha’s development. He emphasised that the administration must deliver seamless arrangements for the historic occasion.
