Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) officially revealed their brand-new jersey for the upcoming IPL 2026 season on social media.
The design retains the franchise’s iconic purple base, accented with gold stripe panels across the front and back. A subtle light purple stripe texture has also been added, symbolising the team’s legacy.
The jersey launch comes ahead of the new IPL season, which begins on March 28, 2026. KKR will play their first match against the Mumbai Indians on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium. Their first home game at Eden Gardens is scheduled for April 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where fans are expected to flood the stands in purple and gold.
Team jerseys in the IPL are more than just uniforms; they represent identity, pride, and belonging. For fans, wearing the same jersey creates a sense of connection with players, while for cricketers, donning the jersey carries the responsibility of representing millions of supporters.
KKR’s squad for IPL 2026 features international talents like Finn Allen and Tim Seifert. However, the team will miss young Indian pacer Harshit Rana, who has been ruled out of the season due to injury.
