Koraput: 7 Quintal Ganja Seized From Coconut-Laden Truck, 2 Held

Koraput: Police seized a whooping 7 quintal ganja from a coconut-laden truck at Kanchana Chhak in Lamtaput of Koraput district. Two persons, identified as Yogendra Tiwari (60) and Shivshankar Chowdhary (50), reportedly residents of Bihar, were also arrested in this connection. Sources said, on basis of reliable information, the Lampaput police along with other officers conducted a vehicle inspection at Kanchana Chhak and eventually intercepted the truck. Following a thorough search, cops recovered the marijuana that was hidden by the coconuts. The price of the seized contraband is estimated to be around Rs 70 lakh.
