In a bid to address pressing railway concerns in Odisha, Minister for Housing & Urban Development Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, today.
The meeting placed significant focus on railway issues affecting the Mayurbhanj district.
During the discussion, Dr. Mahapatra emphasized the necessity of restoring the previous timings of the Bangriposi–Puri Superfast Express, underscoring its importance for the passengers. Responding positively, Vaishnaw assured that the request would be duly examined.
In addition, Dr. Mahapatra pressed for the swift implementation of the Baripada Railway Bypass Project, highlighting its role in the development and decongestion of Baripada town.
The meeting concluded on a note of mutual appreciation, with Dr. Mahapatra expressing his gratitude towards Vaishnaw’s proactive and positive approach in addressing the railway infrastructure and service-related issues in Odisha.
