An OSRTC bus traveling from Visakhapatnam to Jeypore caught fire at Salur Ghat on the Odisha-Andhra border, leaving the vehicle completely gutted.

Thankfully, all passengers escaped unharmed.

The fire broke out suddenly while the bus was en route, prompting panic among passengers. Quick action helped everyone evacuate safely before the flames intensified.

Initial reports suggest an electrical short circuit may have triggered the blaze. Fire services personnel from a nearby station responded swiftly and managed to control the fire. However, the bus was already destroyed by the time the flames were extinguished.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident. The OSRTC management is expected to review safety protocols following the mishap.
