Nabarangpur: Raighar police busted an illegal gambling racket in Khadenga under Jodinga panchayat late Thursday night, arresting 10 individuals during a raid.
Acting on a tip-off, police launched a surprise operation during the ongoing Mandei Yatra, dispersing the gathering and detaining those involved. However, during the raid, some individuals allegedly attacked the police team, injuring both a sub-inspector and the inspector-in-charge.
Following the incident, a case has been registered based on a written complaint from IIC Raghunath Majhi. The police have intensified their search for other suspects involved in the attack and the gambling activities.
