Malkangiri: A 45-year-old farmer died from snakebite at Kalimela in Malkangiri district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Pijus Aaich, of MV-76 under Bhubanpali Panchayat in Kalimela block.
As per reports, the incident took place while Pijus was sleeping on the veranda of his house. The next day when Pijus woke up in the morning, he complained of feeling uneasy to his wife.
Following this, he was treated with plants and roots. Later he was rushed to hospital as his health condition deteriorated where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
