The much-awaited Apple iPhone 17 series finally went on sale in India on Friday, September 19, with massive crowds gathering outside Apple’s flagship stores in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex and Delhi’s Saket.

Hundreds of Apple fans queued up hours before sunrise to be among the first to buy the new iPhones. Some customers reported arriving as early as 3 am, carrying stools and snacks to endure the long wait.

“I have been waiting for this launch for six months. I reached here at 3 am from Jogeshwari just to be one of the first buyers,” one of the first customers told PTI.

Launch Day Frenzy

In both cities, long queues stretched outside Apple Stores even before doors opened. Videos circulating on social media showed excited customers cheering as they entered the store to pick up their pre-booked devices.

Irfan, a customer in Delhi, told ANI,

“I’ve come to buy the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max. I was waiting since 8 pm last night. The new design, improved camera, and better battery life made me upgrade.”

Pricing & Offers

The iPhone 17 lineup is priced between ₹82,900 and ₹2,29,900. Sales are open for both pre-booked and walk-in customers across India.

To attract buyers, Apple’s retail partners have introduced several offers:

  • ₹6,000 instant cashback on iPhone 17

  • ₹4,000 cashback on iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Air

  • No-cost EMI options for up to 6 months (extendable to 24 months via select banks)

  • Exchange bonus of up to ₹7,000 on eligible old devices

  • Special bundled deals on Apple accessories and wearables
