Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi officially launched the ‘Ama Shasana’ initiative on Tuesday, marking a new chapter in Odisha’s governance model.

The programme, inaugurated at Lok Seva Bhawan, is designed to enhance transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in government services.

Through a dedicated portal — — and mobile app, the government will collect public feedback on service delivery, behavior of officials, and the effectiveness of welfare schemes. Citizens can also communicate directly with the administration via a toll-free helpline (14471) and WhatsApp (7400221903).

During the launch, CM Majhi interacted with beneficiaries via videoconference, asking whether they received financial aid under schemes like Antyodaya Housing and if officials treated them respectfully. He emphasized that ministers will also engage with citizens to gather opinions and take action accordingly.

“Ama Shasana will bring improvement in transparency and reduce the distance between the government and the people,” said the Chief Minister. He credited Digital India for enabling such participatory governance and assured that funds sent by the Centre are reaching the rightful beneficiaries.

The initiative builds on the foundation laid by the previous ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme, but with a renewed focus on democratic engagement and real-time feedback.
