The former Chief Minister, known for his resilient leadership, took to X to personally thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling to inquire about his health and wishing him a speedy recovery.

On Sunday, news of Patnaik’s hospitalisation surfaced, prompting visits from key political figures, including Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Bhakta Charan Das, Public Works & Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, and Health & Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling. Patnaik personally called each of them to express his appreciation for their hospital visits, sources said.
Former Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Biswabhusan Harichandan and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge reached out to Patnaik over the phone to check on his condition and extend recovery wishes.
