Bhubaneswar: As many as six places in Odisha witnessed maximum day temperature of 42 °C or above on Thursday, informed the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.
Sonepur became the hottest in the state with 43.1 °C. Other places that recorded maximum day temperature of 42 °C or above are Titlagarh 42.8 °C, Boudh 42.5 °C, Balangir 42.2 °C, Bhawanipatna 42 °C, and Sundargarh 42.0 °C.

The maximum day temperature in the Twin Cities today was Bhubaneswar 38.3 °C and Cuttak 38.7 °C.
