Six Places In Odisha Record 42 °C or above; Sonepur Hottest With 43.1 °C


Bhubaneswar: As many as six places in Odisha witnessed maximum day temperature of 42 °C or above on Thursday, informed the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.

Sonepur became the hottest in the state with 43.1 °C. Other places that recorded maximum day temperature of 42 °C or above are Titlagarh 42.8 °C, Boudh 42.5 °C, Balangir 42.2 °C, Bhawanipatna 42 °C, and Sundargarh 42.0 °C.

Besides, daytime temperatures in other cities that recorded 40 °C or above are Angul 41.1, Jharsuguda 41, Sambalpur 41.2, Hirakud 40.3, Talcher 40.3, Malkangiri 40,

The maximum day temperature in the Twin Cities today was Bhubaneswar 38.3 °C and Cuttak 38.7 °C.
