Bhubaneswar: Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Minister of H&UD, Public Enterprises, conducted an extensive review of the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL), with a special focus on enhancing the infrastructure and services of PRM Medical College & Hospital.
During the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of transforming PRM Medical College & Hospital into a centre of excellence for advanced patient care. He directed immediate measures to equip the facility with the required medical infrastructure and resources to cater to the growing healthcare needs of the region.
The minister stressed prioritizing modern equipment and supply of drugs as per requirement to healthcare facilities.
To ensure uninterrupted public service, all Niramay centres across the state were directed to operate round the clock.
OSMCL was instructed to ensure the uninterrupted and timely supply of essential drugs and medical equipment to healthcare facilities.
Comprehensive discussions were held on audits and CSR initiatives to enhance accountability and community impact.
Puma Tudu, Managing Director of OSMCL, provided a detailed presentation on the corporation’s achievements and ongoing efforts.
Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Public Enterprises Department T. Ao, Special Secretary Ranjan Kumar Dash, the Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET), and other senior officers, actively participated in the review.
The review concluded with a strong commitment to fast-track the implementation of development plans for PRM Medical College & Hospital, ensuring quality healthcare for the people of Odisha.
