The Odisha Tex 2025 Summit, set to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday, marks a historic first for Eastern India.

This landmark event, hosted at the Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre, will bring together textile and apparel industry leaders, policymakers, and over 600 registered investors to shape Odisha’s industrial future.

The summit aims to position Odisha as a leading textile manufacturing hub in India. Chief Minister Majhi will unveil plans for six new textile parks in Bolangir, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Jajpur, and Cuttack, alongside signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various industry stakeholders. These initiatives are expected to attract significant investments and create substantial employment opportunities, particularly for women and skilled youth.

Industries Minister Sampad Swain, while reviewing preparations on Thursday, highlighted the state’s investor-friendly Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) 2022 and robust infrastructure. “Odisha Tex 2025 is not just an event; it’s a mission to showcase Odisha’s textile potential, foster sustainable growth, and establish the state as a global textile leader,” Swain said.

By leveraging its strategic advantages, Odisha aims to become the textile hub of Eastern India, driving economic growth and innovation.
